Stephen Aberle
Sheriff Earl

A graduate of Studio 58 and a busy actor/singer, Stephen is thrilled to return to beautiful Chemainus and make his Gateway debut. Recent credits: Joseph...Dreamcoat (WCT), Fiddler... (Chemainus), performances with Persephone, Patrick Street, Arts Club, Presentation House, and assorted TV. Next up: a new work with City Opera Vancouver.



Danny Balkwill
Male Ensemble

Danny is excited to be returning to Chemainus after a successful run of Fiddler last summer. Recent highlights include Mamma Mia!, Jimmy in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Joseph and Pharaoh in Joseph...Dreamcoat, and Horton the Elephant in Seussical the Musical. Danny sends love to his family and amazing wife Katie.



Joel Ballard
Dennis

Joel is a graduate of Studio 58. Credits include Danno in Since You Left Us (Blisshouse Productions), John in John and Jen (Undiscovered Theatre) and John in The Park (Studio 58). Film/ TV credits: Spectacular, Ragz (Nickelodeon), and Triple Sensation (CBC). For his family and the Guy in the sky.



Gaelan Beatty
Chad

Gaelan, a Studio 58 Grad, is pumped to make his debut at Chemainus. He has travelled the country with Studies in Motion (Electric Company) and performed in several seasons with Bard on the Beach in Vancouver. He would like thank his amazing girlfriend Melissa for her love and support.



Angela Beaulieu
Stage Manager

Some of Angela's favorite stage managing experiences include The 39 Steps (Arts Club), Urinetown: The Musical (Firehall Arts Centre), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Gateway Theatre), and The Shape of a Girl (Green Thumb Theatre). In June 2008, Angela received the Mary Phillips Prize for Behind-the-Scenes Achievement. Love to SJT.



Robin Boxwell
Sound Designer

Robin is excited to be a part of the Chemainus Theatre family once again. Robin was Sound Designer for last year's production of Fiddler on the Roof and most recently VIUs Romeo and Juliet. Robin is currently touring with Ubuntu (Western Canada Theatre). Enjoy the show!



Eugene Burton
Musician

Eugene is a graduate from Capilano University's Jazz Program (2010) specializing in bass and classical guitar. He began his musical theatre career this year with Glory Days. He plays in a jazz trio with Nico Rhodes and Alicia Murray called Project Walrus.



Mary Downes
Co-Costume Designer

Mary is happy to co-design, again with Crystal, the costumes for All Shook Up. Their last joint venture was Countryside Christmas. "We didn't kill each other last time, so why not do it again!" As always, a big thank you to all the wardrobe volunteers for their invaluable help.



Crystal Hanson
Co-Costume Designer

A graduate of the Fashion Design & Technology Program at Kwantlen University College, past Chemainus design credits include Countryside Christmas (Mary Downes codesign), The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, and Ah, Wilderness! (Jeremy Tow co-design). She would like to thank her partner in crime Mary, and our wonderful volunteers.



Lauchlin Johnston
Set Designer

Lauchlin is a Vancouver-based designer holding a BFA in theatre design from UBC. Some favourite recent designs include Burning In and Mary's Wedding in Gateway Theatre's Studio B, and A Christmas Carol and My Name is Asher Lev at Pacific Theatre. He has received five Jessie Award nominations.



Luisa Jojic
Miss Sandra

Luisa is very happy to be singing and dancing it out with the amazing cast and crew of this show! A performer who works on stage, screen and in multimedia performance, you can get a full bio at www.luisajojic.com. Thanks to my friends, family, creative collaborators, and you!



Anna Kuman
Female Ensemble, Dance Captain

An actress, dance teacher and choreographer, Anna is a Musical Theatre graduate from CapU. She's performed at benefits for YouthCo, Cystic Fibrosis and Morquio B. Anna was last seen in Chemainus as Ado Annie in Oklahoma! Other credits: Hairspray, A Chorus Line, The Full Monty, White Christmas, and The Producers.



Gerry MacKay
Jim Haller

Gerry is pleased to be making his Chemainus debut. Recent credits include Jitters (Belfry Theatre), Sherriff Gilbeau in August Osage County (Arts Club), Jack in Brighton Beach Memoirs (Gateway Theatre), and Henry Lane in Sexy Laundry (Western Canada Theatre). Gerry has a BFA from UVic and an MFA from UBC.



Karyn Mott
Natalie Haller

Karyn Mott is thrilled to be performing in All Shook Up and to work with such an amazing company. Selected credits include Oliver! and A Christmas Carol (Citadel Theatre), and The Wizard of Oz (Alberta Theatre Projects). She has her BFA in Acting from the University of Alberta.



Cheryl Mullen
Mayor Matilda Hyde

Cheryl is delighted to shake it with this superb cast even though she must thwart "all that Rock 'n Roll". Credits include: 39 and Ticking, Baby, A Christmas Carol, South Pacific, Oklahoma!, The Boyfriend and assorted mad women, martyrs, and matrons. Next up: Women of a Certain Age.



Alicia Murray
Drums

Alicia holds a BA in Jazz Studies from Capilano University. She plays in several bands, playing everything from folk to arrangements of video game songs and sea shanties on her accordion. She also plays in a jazz trio with Eugene Burton and Nico Rhodes called Project Walrus.



Jaclyn Nestman
Female Ensemble

Jaclyn studied theatre at Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton and continued to do so at Circle in the Square Theatre School in NYC. Some favourite credits include Sharpay in High School Musical (Viva Musica), Beth March in Little Women (MacEwan), and most recently, Riley McBride in Role Call (Green Thumb).



Ken Overbey
Choreographer

This is Ken's third year as the Resident Choreographer for the Gateway Theatre. Ken returns to the stage this spring as Fred Casley in the musical Chicago. He dedicates this show to his friend and boss, Simon Johnston: thanks for the memories, thanks for the kindness.



Nico Rhodes
Musical Director, Piano

A classically trained pianist and jazz saxophonist, Nico can be heard playing everything from country to Coltrane. Returning for his sixth CTF production, credits include, as musician, music director and composer/arranger, A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline, Anything Goes, Tales of H.C.A., Tonight... Piaf, and Countryside Christmas.



Colin Sheen
Dean Hyde

Colin Sheen is a graduate of Capilano University's Musical Theatre Program. He recently performed as Henry in Next to Normal (Arts Club), Andy in Glory Days (The Boys Upstairs) and Benjamin in Joseph (Western Canada Theatre). Thanks Mom, Dad and even Courtney for the fervent support.



Danielle St. Pierre
Sylvia

Danielle's favourite credits include Aida, All Shook Up (Canadian Premiere Cast), Miss Saigon, A Chorus Line, Songs for a New World (Ovation Award winner for Outstanding Performance by a Female Lead), Seussical the Musical, The Last Five Years and Always...Patsy Cline. So much love and thanks to my love Evan and my wonderful parents.



Mike Taugher
Lighting Designer

As Department Chair, Theatre Manager and Stagecraft / Design Instructor for VIU Theatre Department in Nanaimo, Mike also designs sets and lighting for other companies. Previously he was the Technical Director for the University of Calgary's Theatre Department. As designer for CTF's Steel Magnolias he is delighted to return for All Shook Up.



Tessa Trach
Lorraine

Tessa has had the opportunity to work with theatre companies such as Footlight Theatre, Royal City Musical Theatre and Theatre Under the Stars. Most recently she graduated from Capilano University with her Diploma in Music majoring in Voice. She is thrilled to be involved with such an amazing cast and production!



Daniel James White
Male Ensemble

All Shook Up marks Daniel's inception to the ranks of both the Chemainus and Gateway theatres. And what a show with which to start! Daniel studied at the Canadian College of Performing Arts and has been working steadily ever since. Special thanks to the team for this opportunity!
